We've been retailing furniture in Des Moines since 1977. We actually opened up by Design in 1998 combining two earlier stores.
What is your primary product or service?
Our talented designers work with you using tailor-made furniture and unique accessories to create a room and a home that you're proud of and love to spend time in.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Kevin And Bonita Are Both Iowa State University Graduates. We Actually Opened Our First Store While Still In Ames.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have the best custom furniture program in Iowa. We have over 5,000 fabrics on our wall and thousands more in the back room. Our selection of furniture styles is huge and most importantly our designers are talented and caring. Our passion is to delight you.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have One Store In Des Moines (Clive).

Our store is located Two Blocks North Of The Freeway (I235) On 86TStreet.
What type of payments do you accept?
Checks, Cash and most major credit cards. We also offer financing through Wells Fargo Finance.
Which areas do you service?
We Serve Customers Throughout Des Moines And Iowa.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
We Are A Family Owned And Operated Business.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open the following hours: Monday through Thursday 10:00am till 6:00pm. Friday And Saturday 10:00am till 5:00pm. Sunday 12:00 To 5:00pm. We're closed Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
I Love My Room. By Design Made It Do Much Fun!
